Deadly Sins in Medieval English literature. After graduating, she
taught English at a secondary school, which was soon followed by
a teaching position at the James Boswell Institute - Utrecht University.
She has gained extensive experience in teaching presenting and writing

Away from work, English has also played an important role in Ingrid's
life. From an early age, she encountered English. As a school girl
she had American friends. When she was a Girl Guide leader in Zeist,
she organised many activities with the Girl Scouts of the US Air
Force Base in Soesterberg. Moreover, while visiting relatives and
friends in Canada on numerous occasions she had excellent opportunities
to practise her English.
More recently, Ingrid has been the National Secretary of the Netherlands-England
Society (GNE), already for eight years now. One of her tasks is
to assist in the organisation of the Young Writers and Public Speaking
Awards. Over the past three years, she has accompanied the Dutch
finalists to the International Final of the Public Speaking Competition
in London organised by the English-Speaking Union. On top of that,
she very much enjoys travelling to English-speaking countries. All
in all, Ingrid is both an Anglist and an Anglophile.
