Besides the fame and the glory for the students and school, there are also prizes to be won! Winners and runners-up of both competitions will travel to Great Britain!
Besides that we have personal prizes in store for all finalists.
The winner and runner-up in the National Final of the BBC-GNE Public Speaking Awards will be awarded a trip to London, where they will compete in the English-Speaking Union (ESU) International Public Speaking Competition 2009 as representatives of the Netherlands from 17 - 22 May 2010.
The winner and the runner-up of the BBC-GNE Young Writers Awards will be offered the opportunity to follow a one week residential writing course at one of the Arvon Foundation centres in the UK. Type of course and date to be fixed later.
The winning schools will receive the highly coveted Rose Bowl or BBC Challenge Cup.
Incidentally, not only do the winning students and schools receive a prize! The teachers of the winners and runners-up will also receive an attractive prize.
